Crafting Rules

Crafting in Resurgence Larp is designed to be as logistically easy and self reliant as possible with minimal staff oversight and involvement. At check in will be a box set aside for crafting. Inside will be tags and pens. A Crafter simply takes the tags for the items they are making and fills in the creation date. Drop whatever money they might need to pay right into the box (or let the check in staff know how much to deduct from your Bank) and they’re all set. If you prefer to fill these out at home, we will provide the tag templates and you may fill them out ahead of time and just drop the money in the box when you arrive. Crafting tags that are used up need not be turned in at check out, but should simply be thrown in the trash. Unused crafting tags should not be turned in after events in the same way money props are.

Crafting System Overview

Players can earn Crafting Points by purchasing crafting skills under the Alchemy and Runesmithing headers. Each Crafting Point allows you to invest a shard to gain an additional crafting level.

For instance, let’s say you invest 6 CP in Alchemical Crafting by making 3 skill purchases. This gives you 6 points specifically for Alchemical Crafting. You can spend up to 6 shards to acquire an extra 6 points for Alchemical Crafting.

Recipe Costs and Expiration

Creating Minor Recipes requires 1 Crafting Point, while crafting Major Recipes demands 4 Crafting Points. Both Minor and Major Recipes have a 1-year expiration period for use.

Alchemy and Runesmithing Effects

Alchemy and Runesmithing effects require 1 minute of roleplay to deliver and function as a grant. You can apply multiple effects with a single count. It’s important to remember that all Grants adhere to the established rules and limitations.

Crafting Process

Players manage their own crafting activities. The character undertaking the crafting must be present during the process. A designated crafting box will be available at check-in and within the in-play crafting center during the event. This box contains blank crafting tags. To craft, subtract your spent Crafting Points from your total and complete the tags.

Should you use resources during crafting, deposit them into the “burned box.” For bank account resource usage, fill out the provided form and place it in the burned box. We aim to provide downloadable tag PDFs for preparation prior to the event.

Advanced Crafting Recipes:

Advanced Crafting Recipes might necessitate the expenditure of Crafting Points, Brilliance, both, or neither to create. The requirements for each Advanced Crafting Recipe will be detailed within the recipe itself.
